The Mark Apartments

The place itself isn’t bad at all, but management sucks. They don’t respond to emails. My husband and I put a service request in nearly 2 months ago and no one has come to fix anything or had a response regarding it. They’re more worried about door mats rather than the lack of parking, the insane amount of dog poop, service requests, propane tanks, and clean pool just to name a few. They have closed the gym at 8pm, instead of having it 24/7. This sucks for people who work late and now can’t work out at their home.

I've tried to avoid this, but you won't stop asking. Yes, the air conditioning eventually was fixed, but it was like pulling teeth to get responses from maintenance. Illiana came by personally and tried to help, but she, too, had trouble getting responses. And on the day she came by she told me she was the ONLY person working in the office. How is that possible? She couldn't keep up with all the regular business calls, much less those from residents, because she was by herself!

The door was never fixed. Then days later, another person's key broke into it so I called in for it to be fixed again. Was told "we'll send someone over" and now, several days later, nobody was ever sent and the door is still broken. It's unsafe to have unsecured building locks for all tenants in the building and the Mark is neglecting to fix this. I have been dissatisfied with my experience at the Mark overall, mich of this is due to them cheaping out on maintenance or neglecting it altogether.

I rate my maintenance experience as excellent. Excellent friendly timely and energetic maintenance staff. Now if they would just let them do their job it would be great. The management of this complex screws up everything.... You pay for the package cubbies and there is a video camera but the camera is there to keep an eye on the packages .... not to prevent them from being stolen or seeing who is doing it! Seriously... who does that? Package room is robbed continuously with people opening packages and leaving the packaging in the room so ... no crime?... but you are safe from a package biting you. Update: The repair and maintenance are a great group of workers but the office gets in the way of scheduling. What used to be an efficient online process now results in delays for the most simple requests. The management company is a complete failure. Update: The management company continues to continuely make mistakes and threaten all residents with breaking their lease (lease violation = homeless). When the payment portal goes down then the organization threatens lease violation if you do not make out certified check even if you are out town. This is a scandalous management company that is seeking to hurt renters and collect as much money as possible while providing no services or support for residents. Instead of managing they are continually punishing all tenants for mistakes of a few. This company does not care if they ruin your credit and make you homeless - in fact that is their intent. Maintenance requests are no longer being answered. Never mark anything as medium priority, I guess. Nothing about this place is any good.... the new management company in the last year is a scandalous organization which victimizes all renter and will make your life terrible. Update: management is not attending to this: if your hot water goes out there is a phone procedure not that is not even listed on resident portal. The management company no longer communicates with residents except in threats of eviction.
